artist statement
Having long-lived with a learned behavior causing the shutting down, or compartmentalizing of my inner thoughts, and emotions, the interplay of material and surface allows me a means to synthesize my voice(s). Release Plane: Release Matrix is a series of drawings and prints that serve as documentation that over time has progressed into a monumental unveiling of “self” and a genuine means of projecting energy into a space.  My journey as an artist has been interdisciplinary and involves the use of various mediums and surface types. Using drawing and printmaking techniques help me engage design objectively, so that I can operate subjectively.
