artist statement
Human emotions are extremely complex. There is so much beneath the surface that another cannot see, feel, or even begin to fully understand. Presenting that in color and expression is something that is fascinating to explore. How can color interact with emotion or can it say? The experimental process to add and take away from an art work is captivating. Something about a color can change when it is met with its complimentary and seeing how that effects the emotion of a painting. An interesting thought is how all minds can go in a slightly different direction than the next; how beautiful individual minds are. The goal is not to simply have something nice to look at, but to also see what emotion is this piece evoking in the viewer.
